Welfare Aspects

The 2016 Stability Law and the 2017 Budget Law have introduced some fundamental changes to the legislation on Welfare, which actually represents a new bill introduced by the Government, consisting in a reduction of the tax wedge imposed on certain benefits that the Company can agree on with its employees.

We talked about this aspect with Fabio Invernizzi, Business Assistant of Zucchetti SpA.

Fabio, what are the key new aspects introduced by this new bill?

This bill, and I refer to the 2016 Stability Law, the renewal of the National Labour Contract for metalworkers and the large number of queries received by the legislator, have effectively cleared and rendered flexible, hence the term flexible benefits, a series of benefits for the employee and, let's not forget, his own family. If, by key new aspects, we also mean a guarantee of greater purchasing power to our employees, we are certainly faced with a renewal of the relationship between enterprises and their own resources, and this attention can be considered and, above all, acknowledged as an important innovation of immediate usability. We are probably looking at a radical reversal of trends with regard to subordination relationships and this is perhaps the most important new aspect.

To what extent, in your opinion, does the engagement of the Collaborator towards his company become a benefit?

Observers and analysts now have clear ideas on the subject: corporate welfare, when profitably managed by human resources management, positively involves the employee, particularly when the same, with a view to HTM, is gratified with the role of employee-person with work-life balance demands fulfilled and shared with the business organisation. The audits of the same Gallup and OECD have indicated how the application of tools to safeguard the employee, in addition to welfare and let's not forget smart working, promote a greater sense of belonging, a drastic decline in absenteeism with consequent increase in productivity and a decidedly improved company environment focused on the concrete perception of the implemented commodities. Let's not also forget about the new generations that, when entering the job world, no longer think about well-being in the long term, but in the work context in which they find themselves and, in this case, Corporate Welfare becomes a core and fundamental aspect ... what more is there to say ...

How did Zucchetti manage this extraordinary changeover?

As for the Welfare aspect, Zucchetti has not invented anything new, but with the recent acquisition of Double You, a company specialising in corporate welfare, offers a 360-degree service consisting of a technology platform where the worker enters the self-service mode to enjoy all the benefits granted by the Consolidated Law on Income Tax (none excluded) and a series of services that allow the company to manage its welfare plan, omitting all the operational aspects, because the service includes: Management of the Welfare Budget, the Purchasing centre, the Support to workers, the Management and Validation of reimbursements, Plan Monitoring and Communication Verification, a truly innovative service that brings benefits to the worker and his company.
