Planting a tree is an act of love towards ourselves and the world. An old proverb says: "The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is now." And a third good time to do that, we hope, will last throughout 2017.
In the budget law of the end of the year, in fact, the government plans ecobonus that should - the conditional is a must form - be of interest to private gardens and parks. The citizen who faces a restructuring will be entitled to a tax deduction of 50% of green fees, up to 20,000 Euros. Not little money, for a medium sized garden.
ECOBONUS: WELL SPENT MONEY
Measures should launch a field that is suffering and at the same time make something strongly undeclared in this sector emerge. There are three types of green work:
- Supply and planting of trees and any type of shrub: viburnum, rosemary, hornbeams and oaks make no difference, the important is transplanting from the pot to the ground (but also to roof gardens).
- Recovery of historic gardens: this includes design costs and other professional services necessary for the execution of the works.
- Redevelopment of turfs: suppose you have a yard or a vacant condominium plot of 1,000 square meters that we want to convert back to turf. Considering irrigation system, preparation of the substrate, planting and first cut, the cost of the lawn is, let’s say, 10 Euros per square meter for a total of 10,000 Euros. Half of this amount will be deducted and the other half - 5,000 euro - will be the actual figure to be shared among condominiums.
When we are talking about lawns it is automatic the association with lawnmower robot which in this field are the greatest invention after the rake. Ambrogio robot is a Zucchetti Centro Sistemi brand that includes 17 models for automated lawn care, from micro garden to the golf course. The agronomic benefits brought by the robot lawn mowers and their clean energy are different (in a single concept: the lawn becomes more beautiful, thick and healthy) but above all they have the advantage of saving time and effort: thanks to Ambrogio, and its mulching cutting, the grass stalks are crushed and reduced to microscopic fractions that can be easily absorbed by the soil. The direct consequence is that you should not gather up anymore what you cut to bring it to the dump.
FREEING THE GREEN CONSCIOUSNESS
The initiative benefits can go beyond the fiscal borders, reverberating in the ecological and social environment. Up to now, the estimates say that the average Italian man spends few tens of euro a year for the green, too little, because making a meadow grow where there was an expanse of concrete is not only good for the owner of the land, but also to his neighbor and the whole community. The green belongs to everybody, when we realize that we will have achieved a true innovation. Subverting the negative statistics depends on each of us. Planting three new trees for every tree cut down, creating infrastructural green bands around the streets with heavy traffic, programming maintenance, planning new batches so that green is a constant and harmonious presence. Smart cities of tomorrow are built today by identifying and adopting the best practices capable of developing a dimension and a green consciousness among the population. There is no doubt: those who think green think big!
+ TRESS= LIFE
The role of trees in improving clean air is well known: they release oxygen, sequester CO2, fix the carbon and store the excess in the bark. Some trees like the Platanus occidentalis, his Majesty the platanus, have better resistance to city pollution because they change constantly bark. Other trees and evergreen shrubs are effective in the interception of the particulates, because they guarantee consistent results even in winter, when the problem is most felt. In London, for example, green belts along the roads cut down about 2,000 tons of PM10 per year (source: University of Southampton). Finally, a curious note, among the species that accumulate the highest concentrations of emissions is also Laurus nobilis (source: University of Udine), the classic laurel for roast: only a few people know that, as you leave this plant grow freely, this aromatic plant takes in a few years size and posture of a large shrub and even of a real tree, high over ten meters.
